SMM July 4 News: According to market feedback, from June 27 to July 3, the weekly production of sample silicon plants in Xinjiang was 24,700 mt, with a weekly operating rate of 51%, a significant decrease WoW. The production cuts of silicon metal at large plants in Xinjiang mentioned last week were realized this week. During this week, another plant area reduced production and maintained 5 silicon furnaces in insulation mode. As of Thursday this week, the production cuts had not yet resumed, resulting in a large MoM decrease in weekly production. The operating rates of other silicon enterprises in Xinjiang were basically stable. Regarding in-plant inventory, some goods were transferred from in-plant inventory to social inventory, leading to an overall decrease in in-plant inventory levels.

The weekly production of sample silicon enterprises in north-west China was 10,520 mt, with a weekly operating rate of 74%, unchanged WoW. The statistical scope for north-west China includes Qinghai, Ningxia, and Gansu. The operating conditions of sample silicon enterprises were basically stable. The spot market was strong, and silicon enterprises' quotes also increased synchronously during the week.

The weekly production of sample silicon enterprises in Yunnan was 2,100 mt, with a weekly operating rate of 19%, showing a slight increase WoW. In July, Yunnan entered the rainy season, and a small number of silicon enterprises started production and resumed production. It is expected that Yunnan's production will continue to increase next week. Electricity prices in Yunnan are generally higher than those in Sichuan, and most silicon enterprises in Yunnan are not enthusiastic about resuming production, with operating rates during the rainy season significantly lower than those of the same period last year.

The weekly production of sample silicon enterprises in Sichuan was 5,860 mt, with a weekly operating rate of 51%, unchanged WoW. The reason for sample selection is that the sample operating rate is higher than the regional operating rate, and the operating rates of sample silicon enterprises were basically stable during the week.
